Tuesday, June 23 - last day of school and Graeber's visit day #1

The last day of school.  I started the day (after dropoff) with a pilates class.  Then I met with my friend Katherine and her daughter for a walk around town.  She knows the way around that's most shady.

We went by the Real Alcazar to check out the schedule for the summer concert series.  There is music every night.  We'll need to get there at some point.

We went by this restaurant, Restaurante La Cueva, that I'd love to check out at some point.

At the end of school, I wanted to treat the kids to frozen yogurt.  What I didn't know is that Rosa had already had some earlier in the day with school.  What a special treat!  Some of her classmates were around the corner having a snack and we joined them for a few minutes.
Then we headed home to await the visit from our Denver neighbors, the Graeber's.

Stop #1 was lunch at Spanish time (3:30ish) down the street at yummy at La Chala.  Eliza (yes sweet girl, you are definitely on the blog) and Rosa went dressed in their beautiful flamenca dresses and with flowers in their hair.  It's entirely possible that they wore a little makeup as well.

Outdoor eating.
Then we wandered around and took the long way to the kids' favorite Sevilla playground.
Cody, Owen, Eliza, and Rosa at the pirate ship playground.
Scott returned from work and then it was time to head to dinner.

On the way we stopped at the broken now fixed playground.  Rosa and Eliza on a seesaw.

While it's a minimal playground, the kids always seem to have fun there.

Dinner was at Arte y Sabor at Alameda de Hercules.  The kids spent the time continuously crossing the street to play at the updated playground and to run around.  And sometimes they just needed a snuggle.

On the return, it was another stop at the broken now fixed playground.

Backwards on the slide.
The only way to get the kids to leave the playground was to remind the girls that they had a sleepover once they returned to the apartment.
