Monday, July 20 - Ireland day #3

While I had a good night's sleep in a comfy bed with a super heavy down comforter, the same wasn't true for Rosa.  Around 12:30am she came into our room and woke up Scott and said she wanted to take a shower.  This has never happened before.  He told her to go for it.  A few minutes later she came back to him and asked for help with getting the hot water hotter.  They tried, but without luck.  A few minutes after that, she came asking for soap.  And a few minutes after that she needed a towel to dry off and warm up.  I slept through all of it.  Not sure what had Rosa up in the wee hours wanting a shower.  I think she was just restless.  Poor thing.

We woke up at a more reasonable hour to rain.  It was actually quite enjoyable since Spain doesn't usually get rain from early June on.  After stopping at a coffee shop, we started the drive back to Dublin.

Here's a picture of Scott driving as we pass by the house where we'd stayed.

Windshield wiper in action.

Pretty scenery along the way.

Here's a picture of Suzi and Phil's new car in front of us in Dublin.  Suzi did an AMAZING job of leading the caravan!
Once the cars were parked in front of Suzi & Phil's new rental house in Dublin, we headed off on foot to the nearby neighborhood of Ranelagh.

Suzi selected a great pub for lunch, TapHouse.  Anya enjoyed her mac & cheese.

Cody had fish tacos.

Scott gobbled down his fish and chips.

Devon enjoyed his pizza-like food.

The place was cozy and with dim lighting.

Dark wood paneling.

And there were loads of books in bookshelves which gave it the old library feeling.
After lunch, we unpacked the cars and the kids had a blast playing together in the house.

After some quiet time, we took the light-rail train, the LUAS, into the center of town.

We walked around some of the pedestrian streets.

Saw the river through town.

Enjoyed looking at some of the colors of Dublin.

Checked out the loads of double decker busses.

Then we split since Jessie was napping and our little ones were ready for dinner.  We popped into a pub for some food (3rd one we checked out) and later returned by LUAS back to the house.  The stop is just a minute or so walk from their house.  So convenient!  And, it's only 3 stops to the center of town.
