We flew Ryannair non-stop to Dublin.
 |
| Once there, we rented a car. We ended up with a 3-row car which was great to have the kids spread out in. Ours was a Ford Galaxy. "Tony" - this one's for you. |
We then drove about 1.5 hours north and east of the airport to meet up with my sister and family in a house we'd rented for the weekend in Northern Ireland. The first part of the drive was extremely easy on a major highway.
 |
| This sign was everywhere on the highways, and very helpful. |
 |
| The scenery along the way was beautiful and much different than Spain. |
 |
| It was a treat to see green and rolling hills and sheep. |
The final part of the trip was on narrower and windy roads with little room for passing cars. Luckily, few were out and about.
Suzi and Phil had done a great job selecting the town of
Newcastle for a 2-night stay. And Suzi had done a great job finding a big and well-situated
house.
The rental house was just a couple of blocks from the main street / central promenade of town, and a street that runs along the sea. There were loads of restaurants and shops and ice cream stores. Plus, we swung by a playground on our way back home after dinner. And, there were beautiful views of nearby mountains.

| Rosa had a blast at dinner with cousin Jessie on her lap. |
