Friday, July 24

Friday morning we ate breakfast and then headed down the street to the fruit store to stock up.

On the way we saw movers at a nearby apartment.

This provided loads of entertainment for us and others on  the street, including our Canadian neighbor Frank.
After buying loads at the fruit/vegetable market, they offered to once again deliver it to our apartment.

With an hour to spare, we popped into the corner coffee shop that I would go to 1-2/week during the school year and the kids had hot chocolate and toast while I had a coffee.

Butter-faced Devon and Cody enjoying his hot chocolate with a straw.

On the way back, I took a picture of this nearby driveway and courtyard.  I always enjoy peeking in here.  Now I have this picture to remember it.

And we checked out the moving apparatus yet again.
We ate lunch at the apartment and enjoyed the A/C and movie watching and downtime until Scott came home early from work - early for a Friday.

Then it was time for Rosa, Devon, Scott, and Cody to enjoy snickerdoodles together.

Then Cody worked on painting his pirate ship.  Check out his tongue as he concentrates on the job at hand.

He had so much fun putting it together.
I escaped for a much-needed and challenging pilates workout.

And then it was time for a 3-peat with Maria and both her parents (Natalia and Jim) this time.

Rosa loving her dessert of lemon ice cream inside an orange peel.  Not sure what the shadow is along her face.

Devon enjoying his ice cream.

After dinner we went outside for the kids to play at the playground and play at the fountain.  Cody and Devon soaked each other and themselves and had a blast doing it.  And, we bumped into another classmate, Elsa with her brother Marco and parents.  Small world as Elsa's dad's sister lives in Denver and teaches flamenco dance just a few blocks from our house on Broadway.  I look forward to meeting her when we return and perhaps trying a class or two of flamenco.

Yet another fun night returning home after midnight!
