Thursday, July 16 - Aquarium

Cody was the first to wake up and he requested that we revisit the aquarium.  I was all for that.

I tried a new hairstyle with Rosa, the Cobra Braid Side Ponytail.  I look forward to trying it again.  I need some practice, but in time, I think we can add it to our regular rotation.

We took a taxi, hoping for immediate AC.  The plan was to take a bus or a taxi, whichever came first.  I had to beg the taxi driver to turn on the AC.  Here's Rosa holding up the letter R for Rosa at the aquarium.
Cody joined in on the fun and was under the C for Cody.
Devon in front of the big tank.

Another flash-less view into the big tank.  We entered the aquarium paying the discounted big family prices.  Apparently, throughout Sevilla, there are discounts for families who have 3 or more kids.  Lucky us!!!!

Picture of a whale shark.  Red and KP - this one's for you.  I hope we can plan a diving trip next year to see these amazing animals up close.

Twoooorrrrtise.  Homan - this one's for you.

We returned to the aquarium restaurant, Quay, for lunch.

We love the vibe inside.

I'd love to have lights like these in our house.

The food is also great - Asian.  We had chicken with cashews, pad thai, a dim sum dish, and rice.

Part of the restaurant's outdoor lounge.

We walked through the Jardines de las Delicias to get to the main street to catch a bus or taxi to go back home.

Searching for a stick in the gardens.

The plan was to take whatever came first, a taxi or a bus.  Luckily a taxi came.  Because...Cody's BFF Maria hopped on a few stops later as she was heading home from camp with her dad.

Back home, Rosa was busy fixing her bunny and cat motel (made with old tissue boxes).

This little engineer rigged a string to open the double-pained window coverings at this hotel.

Cody looked on.

I've been meaning to talk about something that we love in our kitchen.  It's the built in drying rack over the sink.

It's housed in the cabinets and so not obvious with the cabinet doors closed.

But open it up, and there's a 2-tiered drying rack.

Close up.

And the water drips into a little tray and/or onto the sink below.
If we ever redo a kitchen again (perhaps one day at the condo), we want this to be part of the design.  It is so practical!  And we've seen it at a few other apartments in Spain.  Now, where to find it in the US????

That evening, Scott got LOADS of love and laughter from the kids.  They had so much fun playing together.  After yet another evening meeting, Scott took the kids out to eat at Domino's and I went to a pilates class.
