Tuesday, July 21 - Ireland day #4

Unfortunately Scott had to return to work, so he woke up extremely early and caught the nonstop 7am Ryannair flight from Dublin to Sevilla.  He did make the most of his day by first going on a bike ride after returning to Sevilla and just making a few work phone calls.  More or less, it was another much-needed day off for him.  Here are some pictures of the Plaza de Espana that he took while out and about on the bike.

Meanwhile, Suzi and I and the kids had another fun day together in Ireland.

After breakfast, we walked 10-15 minutes to the playground of Anya's choosing at the end of Palmerston Road, Palmerston Park.  It was a FANTASTIC playground!  Great choice Anya!  Anya amazes me with her bravery and ability to do so much at just 3.5 years.  And Jessie as well!  All 5 kids had a ton of fun and we had to drag them out to get back to the house in time for lunch before they'd melt from hunger.

Lunch was grilled quesadillas Bethy style - using cookie cutters.  That afternoon I'd planned to take my kids to an English-speaking movie, but they chose instead to stay at the house and watch some tv with Anya during quiet time and then play loads more with the cousins.  Plus, we took advantage of having an oven and made banana bread.  We made sure to save some and bring it back to Scott in Sevilla.

Aunt Suzi smoothies were a great treat for everyone, especially these mustached boys.
That night we ate spaghetti for dinner at the house.  A very nice day.
