Scott was the first to wake and head off to work. Too bad he didn't get to play with us all the time.
When I woke, it was still quiet and dark in the apartment, so I showered and snuck out to run a few errands. It's usually quicker to do that on my own. I needed to take out some cash and our bank atm is a 15-minute walk away and I wanted to top off our bus card. I succeeded with both.
 |
I also saw this restaurant that I'd like to try out sometime. |
Back home, it was breakfast and getting dressed for all and finally we all headed out the door. We crossed the street and hopped on a bus to the
Parque Maria Luisa, one of our favorite places in Sevilla.

Nope, not one of these pictures has all of them looking at the camera at the same time. Kids will be kids. |

Owen became a big brother to both Cody and Devon during the visit. Cody especially loved following Owen around and tried to keep up with him. Here he is trying to climb a tree with him. At other times, Cody wouldn't hold my hand anymore because Owen doesn't hold hands. Luckily he's resumed doing it now that Owen has returned to the states. We'll see what happens once we're all back in Denver again and hanging out together. |

Where is Rosa? |
After the first playgound at
Plaza de America, we continued exploring Parque Maria Luisa and everywhere we went we found more beautiful things to see and explore. We also enjoyed playing at 2 of the playgrounds there. Of course, we finished our trip there with a visit to
Plaza de Espana and an ice cream treat.
From there we walked a few blocks to the University of Seville area and popped into a restaurant for lunch.
Then it was back, by bus, to the apartment for some A/C and siesta. That night we headed over to
Eslava for dinner. We arrived just as the restaurant opened (8pm) and got one of the last tables in the intimate tapas side.

Cody and Scott. Not only is the restaurant close, food delicious, service great, and atmosphere welcoming, but we also enjoy eating here because Cody loves the anchovies. Who knew? He tried them the first time with Grandpa Fred and now he looks for them on every menu and requests daily that we return to Eslava. He likes the anchovies whole: head, tail, and bones. |

Another great day and fun night with dear friends!
This was our best photo day, except for the pigeons. That was nasty! I loved Plaza de Espana so much. Thank you for taking us there.
