Let's start, yet again, with a weather report. Sorry.
 |
Note that some days only have a high of 99. |
Cody had been wanting to go to the
Torre del Oro for months. And finally the 5 of us went. While it's a short walk, it was already hot by the time we made it out of the apartment. And so we went across the street to Torneo and took a bus.

Here are Cody, Devon, and myself on top with the river in the background. |

View of Sevilla back in the day. |
After lunch we walked across the bridge to Plaza de Cuba and then walked north towards the Triana neighborhood. We haven't done enough exploring in that neighborhood in our stay here, and we're sorry to just now be checking it out. It's really a neat neighborhood.
 |
We went into the market and snacked on fresh fruits. |
 |
And just next door to the market we stopped for lunch at La Comidilla. |
 |
Our waiter, pictured here making drinks, was fantastic and made for a wonderful meal. |
After we went into a few pottery shops. Triana is known for its pottery. We bought some for ourselves to bring back home as keepsakes and fond memories of our time here. Hopefully they're all wrapped well and will make the journey in one piece.
From there we walked to a bus station to catch a bus home.
 |
And we stopped at a playground on the way to get a few wiggles out. |
Back at the apartment we chilled out and watched a movie. And then we went to the movies. We saw the Minion movie in Spanish. I think we all did great understanding enough of it to truly enjoy it.
 |
Afterwards we walked across town to try a new to us restaurant that was highly recommended by our American friend Jennie. On the way, not surprisingly, we stopped at a playground to play. |
 |
It has a really nice vibe inside. |
 |
And across the street is a pretty church. |

The table where we'd sat. |
It was an absolutely delicious meal in a super friendly restaurant. Thank you Jennie for the recommendation.
On the way home, Rosa just wanted to go to sleep. Once home she invited me for my first sleepover with her. It was so much fun! And the boys went with Scott to play at another playground. By the time they came home, Cody was so tired that he didn't even say goodnight to me. He barely made it to his bed. A very fun day!
