Sunday, July 5 - Grandma Carol day #6 - Cordoba

Happy Anniversary Suzi & Phil!

We returned tEl Tablon for breakfast.  Cody had ordered toast with honey.

Rosa had fresh-squeezed orange juice.
Our darling waiter made us eggs to order - a rarity as far as we've found.  And they were very good.  After breakfast, Rosa and Carol wandered around town and popped in and out of stores.  And, Rosa "found" 5 euros on the ground with which she treated herself to a few treats.

Scott and I headed off with the boys.

First we checked out the Roman Temple.

We saw 2 cats there.  Here's cat #1 that Devon named Ah.

Here's cat #2 that Cody named Whiskers.

This nearby plaza reminded me of St. Mark's plaza in Venice (without the church and flooding).

A view of the fabulous playground along the river.
And then the boys, Scott, and I went up in the Calahorra Tower at the far end of the pedestrian bridge.   What an unexpected treat!  It started with the entry including headphones for all of us.  What fun for the boys and interesting for Scott & I.

Diaromas.

Here's a view of the diaroma of the mezquita.

While up in the tower, we spotted Rosa and Grandma Carol crossing the bridge.

On the tower rooftop.

Neat statue.

Family shots.

Back at the hotel the gang cooled off in the pool and then it was off to the train station and back to Sevilla.  For this train, we took a non-stop and arrived in 45 minutes.  What a quick and easy journey.

It was so hot that none of us wanted to do much of anything that evening.  Luckily for the rest of us, Scott and Cody headed down the street to take out yummy Chinese food for dinner.
