Just like Rosa, the boys have mini olympics at their school. They're in the Infantil school (the equivalent of early childhood education or ECE in Denver). They're in the oldest year at the Infantil and the only grade that gets to participate in mini olympics. The location for theirs is walking distance, and so the students, class by class, left the school holding onto a rope to guide them along the city streets.
| Here are Devon and Cody so excited to be participating. You can sort of see Devon's participant number on his t-shirt. |
| A number of the children brought their favorite stuffed animals. |
| Here's the sign in front of one of the classes. The children were so proud to be marching and parading to the mini olympics. |
| Hold on tight. |
| The students settled in class, by class, downstairs on the gym floor. The parents and grandparents were sent upstairs to observe. |
| A view of the gym. |
| The gym was divided in 3 with these grey dividers that came down from the ceiling. |
| Cody and Devon chose to play soccer. All of their games were played on the far side. |
| There are 4 classes in their grade. Their class wore white t-shirts. The other classes either wore red, blue, or yellow t-shirts. |
| Here's a bunch of pictures of kids playing soccer. |

| Looking down on the boys' class as they get ready for breakfast (at 10:45am). |
I was invited by other parents in the boys' class to join them for coffee while the kids were snacking. We walked down the street and sat outdoors enjoying a coffee and conversation.
| Four students from each class were called to run in a baton relay. |
| They're being told how it works. |
| Here's Devon. He had such a blast doing this. He played with his baton and swung it around and hopped along. It was quite funny to watch, but certainly not the strategy to win. |
| Come on Devon, back to your team. |

| Hi Cody. |
I left the boys at lunchtime to go meet Rosa for her lunch. She chose to go to a sandwich place around the corner from school where we chose our bread and fillings.
| For dessert, Rosa saw this box and wanted to give it a try. We waited until the boys were down with the mini olympics for the day and then the 4 of us shared this. They are YUMMY! |
| Since the boys were done with the day when it was time to drop off Rosa for afternoon classes, they had the chance to hang out with me. We went to the top floor (5th) of El Corte Ingles and checked out the view. The boys are playing Gilly Gilly and the Cathedral is in the background. |
| Awwww |
| Another view from the rooftop, with 2 bridges in the distance. |
| Big smiles. |
