Monday, May 11

On Monday morning, after dropping off the kids at school, I made a farewell visit to my Sevillan boxing gym.  While I was really enjoying the fitness aspect of the workouts, I was finding that there was more and more combat involved and it is not what I was looking for.  My opponents kept on coaching me to not close my eyes, but I found this inevitable as their strong punches kept on approaching me.  I'm thankful for the community there and all that I learned and I wish them the best.

Later that day my parents met the kids and I for lunch.
We tried a new restaurant for us, though one just 2 doors down from Tapaole.  It's called Jaipur and it has Indian food, and it was our first taste of Indian food in Spain.  It was a huge hit with the kids.  We probably ordered 4 servings of naan bread for the 6 of us (my parents were able to join us for lunch) as well as loads of other yummy items.
After lunch my mom took the kids and I on a rushed trip to H&M to buy the kids some clothes.  They loved picking out some new items.

The timing of leaving the muay thai gym coincided with me trying something new, pilates.  On and off over the years I've thought about trying pilates, and now just seems like the time to give it a go.  I found a place just a few blocks from the school called Core Studio Pilates.  Truth be told, the reason I wanted to try it is because I'm looking for a gym that offers classes and one that's closer to our apartment.  This fit the bill.  So, I tried my first pilates class on Monday afternoon.  It's much different than most other exercise I've tried.  It'll be interesting to give it a go.  We'll see how my Spanish holds up (or hopefully improves).

That night involved a few giggles.
Here's Scott being buried in pillows.

And Rosa making the letter L for Lawrence with her legs.
And the kids chilling out to a minions youtube video.
