Saturday, May 9

Saturday morning, after Scott made pancakes for breakfast for everyone, we split into 2 groups:  boys and girls.  The boys headed off to Brico Depot in search of a mini refrigerator for Scott's office.  While that store (similar to a Home Depot) didn't have them, Costco was nextdoor, so that's where they headed.

Not only did they find a fridge, Scott also stocked us up on paper goods, etc.  It was overflowing the cart.

And they barely fit the 4 of them and all of the goods in the car for the ride home.
Meanwhile, the girls went off shopping, and we had success.

And we had coffee and croissants.
The bakery we tried.

Another Barber of Seville sign in town.

Here's Rosa making funny faces while waiting for us at our final store.
We all met up and walked across "the covered bridge" to the Triana neighborhood.  Like playgrounds, we've also given the bridges our own names.  The covered bridge has tarp-like coverings along the whole way.  We went back to Divina Comedia and ate outdoors.

Here we are at lunch.

We took the "circle bridge" back to our apartment to go and have a siesta while my parents did some more exploring on foot.
Later that evening, after more movie watching, we all headed over to "Las Cetas", the mushrooms, to see Sevilla from above.

Nearby church

Here's a view of part of the walkway on top of the mushrooms.

More views of the mushroom from above.
From there, we headed over to El Rinconcillo for dinner.  This is another one of our favorite restaurants.

After dinner, as we were walking home, we ran into another procession and paso.  What luck!  We stayed and watched and listened (and smelled the incense) for a while.  Then my parents headed one way and we headed to the "Simona" playground.  It's named that because we often run into our friend Simona when we go there.  And, sure enough we did.  So we stopped and had a drink with her mom while the kids played.  And then it was off to home and down to bed after a late night.

Enjoy these additional paso and parade pictures.
