Friday, May 15

It was Devon's day to choose a lunch spot and he chose the Simona playground.  While we'd just recently played there, we hadn't eaten there in quite some time.  The playground amuses the kids at night, but there's no shade coverage during the day, so we'd held out until a cooler day before giving it a go.  It turned out to be a big hit.  The kids had a blast playing, both by the table and at the playground.  And I met a lovely British woman, her baby daughter, and a friend of hers.  She and I exchanged numbers.

Meanwhile, Scott finally had his first private Spanish lesson.  He'd tried arranging for this in the states, without luck.  And he's been trying to arrange for this since we arrived in Spain 2 months ago.  Class #1 was 2 hours long, which was 30 minutes too long.  Next week's class will be 1.5 hours long.
That night the 7 of us headed out for a Spanish-time dinner.  We decided to try Eslava, a restaurant that gets top ratings on Trip Advisor and is also close to our apartment.  The food and the service were excellent.  We look forward to returning there.

All 3 kids ordered the egg dish.  I enjoyed eating it.

We all split a chocolate dessert.
