Scott had a site walk in Rota, Spain.  He left a few minutes earlier than usual, drove to the Seville suburb of Dos Hermanas to meet a co-worker, Fred, and then they drove to Rota which is about 1 hour from Dos Hermanas.  Rosa has a very large US Navy base and there's a project going out for bid that Scott's company and Fred's company may want to co-bid on.

I met the kids for lunch, but we first stopped with Mar, her mom, and a friend to buy Rosa a painting canvas for an art class she wants to take with some of her school friends.

Then just the kids and I headed over to Plaza Alfalfa for Cody's choice lunch.  He wanted to go to the frozen yogurt shop for sandwiches.  We'd never eaten there.  The problem was that they don't take credit cards and I had about 5 euros on me.  We scrimped and the kids had a bit to eat and some time to play at the butterfly playground.  Then we went to our bank ATM to get some much-needed cash.  And then we stopped at another cafe, near the school, to have more to eat.  As we finished up, Scott met us as he was back from the site walk.

Since I'd been low on money, I'd spent it all on the kids for lunch and I was starving by 3pm when we dropped them back at school.  So I headed over to the sushi place where I'd eaten a couple of weeks earlier.  Again it was yummy.  Afterwards, I met Pilar for more Spanish and English conversation.  We're planning to make it a twice weekly meet-up.  I'm really excited because Pilar is super nice and I'm learning so much from her.  Plus, while we're meeting lots of people here, we're not yet to the making deep friend connections (with the exception of our American friends who are now back in the states).  So, hopefully with more time and intention, we'll make stronger bonds.

That evening Scott picked up the kids from school and I got dinner started.  When everyone got home, we had a quick afternoon snack (merienda) and then our Spanish teacher came over for our 2nd family Spanish lesson.  Antonio is wonderful.  Thank you Jennie for connecting us.  He had prepared separate materials for Scott and the kids.  At times, he'd get Scott working on one thing and then he'd be teaching the kids.  And then he'd have the kids working on something while he'd teach Scott.  He really has a great way about balancing the lesson.

We had fish for dinner and then off to bed.
