The day started with getting clean.
| Devon playing with a sponge in the bathtub. |
| Devon LOVES baths! |
Cody and Rosa also took baths since it's an uncommon event for them while we're living in our current Spanish apartment.
| The kids enjoyed this "boat" ride as we started off the day. |
| We ate breakfast across the street from this pretty church. |
| Thinking of you cousin Iris. |
| We saw this lovely looking hotel while we were on a walk. |
Sunday's plan was to take turns at each corner choosing which way to go (left, straight, or right) and just enjoy the neighborhood and the sights.
| And then we headed for this green space near our apartment along Avenue Foch. |
| On our way back to the apartment, Rosa saw her dream bed at Mezza Line. |
| Grandparents: be prepared for Rosa to ask you to buy her this bed, desk, and reading chair for her next birthday. She's already asking us. |
Then it was a visit to 2 neighborhood playgrounds and a delicious neighborhood bakery before heading back to the apartment to pack out.
| The owner of the apartment we stayed can trace her ancestors back to the 1300s. This family tree shows her ancestors on the right and the French king at the time along the left. It is such a neat and rare concept. |
| And then it was time to go. |
| The daughter took a few family photos of us out front. |
| Ah, all of us in the sun. |
And then we walked up the street to Porte Maillot, hopped on the shuttle bus to the airport, and flew back to Sevilla. I sat next to someone who'd been on our flight to Paris, as well. We chatted a bit (in Spanish) and he shared the names of 2 of his favorite restaurants in the Triana neighborhood where he now lives.
Luckily everyone slept a little on the plane since we landed after 11 and didn't get home until after midnight.
When we got home, we were excited to see that the AC was finally turned on for our apartment complex. And so we turned it on. But, it still didn't blow cold air.
