The kids were miraculously lovely most of the way to school. There was minimal whining. Aaaaaah. I ran into our neighbor Karen at drop off, and we stopped off at the cafe next door to school for a cup of coffee. Afterwards I decided to look for a Crocs store in order to buy shoes that fit the kids for the summer. The backup plan is to order them online and have them shipped to Grandma Carol before she comes to visit us so she can bring them over.
It was lovely just walking the interesting streets of central Sevilla.

I liked this archway and the apartment next door - near the bull ring. |
It turns out that there is no Crocs store where I was looking, but it had led me to the river and so I decided to walk along it on the way home. |
First I enjoyed the shade cover and beauty it provided. |
I loved the views out at the palm trees and the river. |

Closer to home I wandered an area where I'd never been, yet just 2 blocks from the house, and saw this plaque on a wall. There are a number of historical plaques around town, but this one cracked me up talking about the love of a cat and mouse. |
Since we had plans to go out for dinner, I walked the kids home for lunch. They were all whiny about it because they were all starving. We walked by one of our favorite restaurants and I waved at the waiter. He came running out and gave all 3 kids big bags full of sugar candy. They were thrilled and a lot less whiny from that point on.

Once home it was like Halloween checking out the goodies. |

Rosa was trying to convince the boys to trade with her. She can be very convincing. |
Scott had a noon meeting in Dos Hermanas that day to meet with his subcontractors to work on bids for upcoming projects at the base where he is now and at the naval base in Rota. Even with a 2-hour lunch, he was home early. And then it was off to Ikea, per the kids' request.
The kids love playing on the toys there. Eliza, this picture is for you. |
Rosa found a loft bed that she LOVES. |
Another view of it. We saw it in black, as well. She didn't like that one. |
And Cody loved the orange desk he found. |
The kids had fun playing at Ikea and Scott and I enjoyed them being happy with the food choices.
