Sunday - June 14 - Isla Magica

At last the day of Isla Magica had arrived.  We had gorgeous weather for it.  It was just a 20 minute walk along the river from our apartment.

And this is just some of the scenery we saw on our walk.

Here's more of the natural beauty.

And here's silly Rosa's backside.

At last we'd arrived at Isla Magica.

We rode the double-decker merry-go-round.

The spring ride
On a bee.

It was a green circle.

The ferris wheel
Scott took the kids on the jumping frog ride.

A blue square ride.

Getting ready

Buckled in

Ready to jump

Devon and Rosa at bumper cars (a favorite)

Cody

Devon driving Rosa (they look like they're on a date)

Scott and the kids spinning around

Scott and the kids on a mini rollercoaster.  Have you figured out yet that I'm a scaredy cat and that I don't enjoy the spinning rides nor the dropping rides?  The kids are lucky to have Scott to take them on these rides, because they loved them.

Scott and Devon on a log water roller coaster of sorts.

Ready to drop down.

Dropping down (as was my stomach and I was only watching).

Splash

Very happy Scott, Cody, and Rosa ready for their turn.

The ride was named Anaconda.

Rosa, Cody, and Scott ready to drop.

They did it!

Cody and I spent 5 hours there and then he wanted to leave.  Scott and the brownies followed about an hour later.  It was a very successful day.  We got lucky with no crowds, next to no lines, and weather that was not too hot nor too cold.  The kids want to go back next Sunday.  Ha!
