Monday morning, after dropping the kids off at school, I met my parents at their apartment as they finished packing.  There's a lot of unpacking that can happen during a 2 week stay.  We headed over to the Plaza de Armas bus station, just a few blocks away, while stopping along the way for coffee.

My parents put their suitcases under the bus and then boarded.  They're in the last row, wearing their hats.  

Later they sent me this picture of a bathroom on the bus.  Our kids have never seen a bathroom on a bus, so this is a big deal.  They look forward to seeing one in person one of these days.  

My parents arrived in Granada and hit the ground running to see and do more while in Spain.

Monday was Cody's turn to pick out a restaurant.  He chose the bakery in the tunnel we often walk through to and/or from school.  The kids ordered their turkey sandwiches and then Cody had us eat lunch at the mushroom.

Now that I've switched to a Pilates gym, the class I'm taking is in the afternoon.  This means that I have more uninterrupted time in the am to do stuff while stores, etc. are open.  My class is during siesta when much more is closed.  So, it's great timing with the exception that I need to leave a few minutes early each class to be on time for school pick-up.

Aftern school we noticed a film crew filming by the mushroom.  

We checked it out for a few minutes.

There's a fruit store near our apartment that I tried for the first time on Friday.  I bought a ton of items, and every single one of them was delicious.  I returned with the kids after school on Monday.

This week was Devon's date night week.  As soon as we got home Devon put on his purse and grabbed his map and said he was ready to go.  

Scott and Devon reviewed the map for where to go.

Devon had selected Domino's.  He told me how to get there (and he was right, the smarty pants).  And as soon as he saw it, he ran to it.  He was an excellent date.

Mr. Map, aka Devon, chose a different way to walk home.  He chose to walk along the river.  This meant that we went by Plaza de Armas.

Devon noticed that there were little rides inside the Plaza de Armas.  It was his date night, so in we went and Devon had the chance to choose a ride.  He chose the NASA rocketship.

He loved it!

Cody is next for date night, and what he knows he wants is to also go on a ride at Plaza de Armas.
