School found

After much research and recommendations, we have been in contact with the school "Colegio San Francisco de Paula" and we've enrolled the kids there.  We're really excited about this school.  It's:

  • in a great location in central Sevilla
  • bilingual with many English-speaking staff
  • architecturally beautiful
  • provides exposure to a 3rd language (French or German) in addition to the Spanish and English
Shhhh....the kids are scared enough as it is to be exposed to half a day in Spanish.  We haven't yet told them that they will be learning a 3rd language.

In preparation for the Spanish, the kids have already had 4 weekly hour-long Spanish classes with a friend/Spanish teacher.  They're little sponges and they're learning so much.  We should be able to squeeze in 12 of these classes before we leave for Spain.

Tickets booked

It's official.  We've booked our plane tickets!  We leave for Sevilla on Monday, March 9 and we return on Saturday, August 15.  Scott found flights that get us into Sevilla vs. flying into Madrid, taking a taxi to the train station, and then taking the train.  Phew!  That should make for slightly easier travel.
